The Metabolic Efficiency Test measures the body’s ability to use its store of nutrients, particularly carbohydrates and fats, across a range of exercise intensities. It is beneficial to be able to utilize fats even at high exercise intensities as it enables an individual to decrease fat mass, access to a limited-less source of fuel, and eliminate GI distress.
