Ming Fong has 22 years of clinical experience working as a physiotherapist. Ming Fong did her undergraduate physiotherapy training at the Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. She went on to further her professional studies with University of Sydney and University College London.

Ming Fong started her career as a physiotherapist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 1995. She left Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 1999 to pursue her interest in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy. She joined National Heart Centre of Singapore in 1999, and since then Ming Fong has had many opportunities to practice in the Cardiac arena. She was awarded the HMDP funding to be attached to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Beaumont Hospital in Year 2004. She was also awarded a $20,000 research grant from the Singapore Heart Foundation as the Primary Investigator for a clinical research study on patients with Heart Failure.

Ming Fong was also the invited speaker at various Cardiac meetings, conferences throughout her stint at National Heart Centre of Singapore.

Throughout the 18 years at National Heart Centre of Singapore, Ming Fong has established and refined inpatient and outpatient cardiac physiotherapy services. She pioneered the Mechanical Circulatory Support Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) exercise rehabilitation program, the first in Singapore. She has also worked closely with the cardiologists to establish protocols for post cardiac device implantation rehabilitation program for patients post pacemaker (PPM), implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), cardiac re-synchronization therapy (CRT-D). Ming Fong also started the Pulmonary Rehabilitation outpatient exercise rehabilitation program for patients with chronic thrombo-embolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) in Year 2016.
