Once reserved only for elite athletes, we have now made physiological testing available and accessible to recreational athletes and active individuals.
Our sports performance tests are based on sports science and measure specific variables that will enable you to make more informed decisions around your training and nutrition strategies.
Go faster, last longer, and ultimately achieve your goal with us!
Tests include: VO2 Max, Lactate Threshold, Metabolic Efficiency, Power Profile, and Running Gait Analysis.
What tests suits you best?
You're suited for:
Lactate Threshold Test & VO2max Test
The Lactate Threshold will help you to understand your body’s blood lactate response to exercise and establish their aerobic and anaerobic/lactate thresholds, while the VO2max test establishes your 'ceiling' of performance and maximum aerobic speed/power. This gives you a more complete picture of your physiological profile, allowing you to train more effectively.
Upon completion of the test, your results will then be analysed and our exercise physiologists will be able to:
- Establish your aerobic and lactate thresholds
- Establish your aerobic ceiling (VO2max) and maximum aerobic speed/power
- Assess your current fitness level
- Identify your metabolic weaknesses
- Generate personalised and precise training zones (speed/power/heart rate)
- Provide training recommendations
- Track your personal progression
You're suited for:
Lactate Threshold Test
The Lactate Threshold Test helps you to understand your body’s blood lactate response to exercise in conjunction with heart rate, oxygen consumption and intensity. It also identifies your their aerobic and anaerobic/lactate thresholds, which are then used to establish precise training zones that are unique to you.
Upon completion of the test, your results will then be analysed and our exercise physiologists will be able to:
- Establish your aerobic and lactate thresholds
- Identify your metabolic weaknesses
- Generate personalised and precise training zones (speed/power/heart rate)
- Provide training recommendations
- Track your personal progression
You're suited for:
Power Profile Test
Are you a cyclist who is interested in maximizing your potential on the bike and improve performance?
Power has been the best measure of performance in the cycling realm as it provides a very objective measure of work output. By quantifying your Power Profile, the test allows us to identify your strengths and weaknesses as a rider and also to track changes as the racing season progresses.
Upon completion of the test, your results will then be analysed and our exercise physiologists will be able to:
- Determine your strengths and weaknesses as a rider
- Assess your aerobic and anaerobic qualities
- Provide training recommendations
- Track your personal progression
You're suited for:
Metabolic Efficiency Test
Are you participating in some form of endurance sports and wish to improve your training and/or race nutrition plan and refine current fueling strategies?
The Metabolic Efficiency Test measures the amount of calories, carbohydrates, and fats that you use at various intensities. An individual who is metabolically efficient is one who is able to use fats as fuel predominantly even at higher exercise intensities, thereby preserving precious carbohydrate stores for very-high intensity efforts that can make-or-break your race.
Upon completion of the test, your results will then be analysed and our exercise physiologists will be able to:
- Assess your metabolic efficiency
- Identify your current fat – burning zone
- Measure the amount of calories, carbohydrate, and fat that you burn at various intensity levels
- Provide training and racing nutrition strategies/recommendations based on your goals
You're suited for:
Running Gait Analysis
A good running technique enables you to continue running for the long haul while reducing the risk of acute and overuse injuries. Proper running technique also enhances your running efficiency and performance.
Upon completion of the video analysis, our physiotherapists will be able to:
- Assess your posture, static strength, dynamic strength, and flexibility
- Improve your technique using corrective exercises
- Provide related technical advice
- Provide drills and training recommendations
- Provide a follow-up injury prevention and rehabilitation plan
- Cardiologist Consultation
- 12-Lead ECG
- 2D Echocardiography
- Exercise Stress test or CT Coronary Angiography
- Basic or Extensive Blood Screening panel
